A lot of people are amazed at the outrage that is pouring out of the left lately. What on earth could provoke so much anger? Is it about content, are policies not liberal enough, is there worry about poverty or lack of jobs? Is it considered unacceptable that so many people are a victim of crime?
Hate
No it isn't. It's about something totally different: the left is outraged like an immature parent watching an authentic child's lust for life. The hate of the left is caused by the disobedience of the White House. It isn't doing what it is supposed to do: be politically correct all of the time, use the right wording, be as ignorant as they are. Instead it has got a mind of its own! That is what infuriates them. The very independence of the people who put Donald Trump into office.
Prosecution
The ideal of the left is a psychological dictatorship, where they are in charge. They see themselves as good so what could possibly be wrong about that. They see themselves just as the catholic church did, a few hundred years ago. They created the Holy Office to prosecute those who violated the rules of the ruling class. Like the inquisition, the Democrats want to take the trespassers to justice, their justice. And they run into the same problem as the church in Spain did in the fifteenth century: there is no crime. So they desperately try to find one, an excuse, in order to justify their hate towards those who refuse to submit to their will.
Authoritarianism
The hysteria on the left is fundamentally different from the mood of the left in the seventies. Hippies were relaxed, peaceful, positive, trusting. They disliked aggression. Today's outrage isn't liberal, it is authoritarian. It has nothing to do with wanting a better world or more happy people. Today's left is the ignorant parent who only wants to have his way, and is willing to fight independence and freedom tooth and nail.
